have you seen/ heard about this new airline that does cheap flights to maldives?

anyone thinking of flying with them or heard anything about them?

also, is it possible to do maldives on the cheap or do you face paying an arm and a leg for resorts anyway?

my experience in the past: a couple of years ago I also found a dirty cheap flight to Male (Maldives) so I looked into all resorts there, travel agencies, etc.. to find that: all resorts there are really expensive, there a few ones that the price can be reasonable, but that are the kind of backpacker island, for example no hot water and 3 times more people than other islands.

I thought that if I want to go to Maldives I need to go to a really nice island and resort, and that was really pricey.

Anyway now that I have found this new offer I'll check again the resorts... maybe prices have changed.

I have heard of that airline but saw this note in their timetable section:

We regret to inform you that the scheduled services between Macau and Maldives for the period of 18th March 2007 to 26th April 2007, will be cancelled. This is due to critical hotel availability situation in the Maldives and for commercial reasons. We will resume operations by 29th April 2007 to 27th October 2007. According to Viva Macau?s Conditions of Carriage, passengers can receive a total refund or a flight date change for free. man, maybe give the airline a few months to bed in and get themselves sorted. what kinda chaos must they be causing at the moment.
