how about just buy San disk 32GB, Flash 2.5" IDE drive? you could put it in a USB case and make it portable.

The cool thing would be to strap a few of those FlashIDE together into a RAID controller. I think ultimately this is what we will need to run on our mail servers on hk.com so that we can give brutal performance. The disk IO operations is all that counts when you are doing email.

Using a raid controller if one of them goes belly up you have a few more as hot spares to rebuild the raid.
