Question Kids travelling to Kennedy and WIS

Does anyone have kids making this journey ? (especially young ones) How long does it take ? What time do they leave and get home? Do they cope ok ?

Fom where? From next door or from Tai po? It could be 3 mins or 93 mins depending on your answer...

Kennedy & WIS are close to each other in Pokfulam - and its only 3 to 10 mins away fom anywhere in Pokfulam..

Sorry didn't know about DB forum... I just usually click on new HK threads.

WIS is just around the corner from where I live. It would be atleast 20 mins by school bus (more by public bus) from the ferry pier. Add the waiting time and the ferry ride - its a long way..

Pros -

The building is fabulous, not just the clubhouse, but the interiors (kitchen/bathroom etc).
View is simply out of the world. I can't see any land or building from the apartment - just sea and lots of ships, junks, fishing boats moving by.
Air is relatively clean by HK standards.

Cons

Transport can be better. It actually depends on where in Pokfulam you are. However, it is not really far from anywhere - only takes 15 mins to Causeway Bay during non-peak hours in a green mini.
Can't walk to restaurants, laundry etc. I have lived in Mid-levels before and still didn't really walk to restaurants. I am not out every night and don't mind paying the cab fare when I am.

End of the day - it is about quality of life vs convenience. Living on top of the wet market may be most convenient, but it wouldn't appeal to me.

I know that you are considering DB - I have never considered it. I can't visualise coming from the airport with large suitcases and two kids in tow and then jumping through hoops to get home. Prefer to have the cab pull up to the lift lobby.

Thanks for reply !!
sounds like you are in a good spot...........my budget isn't huge........hence a bit worried about what I could get for 30/35K in Pof Fu Lam. You couldn't recommend a local real estate agent I could email could you? The ones i have found on internet are too general.
Thanks

You would definitely get around 1500 sq ft at Baguio Villa - check with our resident tycoons.
A bit less sqft (1300-1400) @ Bel-Air, if you really haggle. Don't let the asking price dissuade you.

Will PM you the other stuff..
