Popular expat destinations

Looking for some input on what the popular expat destinations are ....

Outside of Asia, I've got Dubai, New York and London as the top spots where companies are relocating folks to.

What else? What would you consider a top or second tier destination to relocate to?

Dubai? lived there for 6 years & happy to be in Asia, i tell you:-) its a developing city. I would say it was good 10 years ago.....But, whoever gets the chance, try it - you'll love it. ohhhh, it reminds me of my 4D (Toyota land Cruiser) fuel is cheap so most expats have
SUV / 4WD.

Only thing, you need a license in order to get some booze in a licensed store. There's a salary bracket so its not for everyone;-) If you go out for a drink, you can park your car anywhere & go home by cab as there's a zero tolerance & you might end up in jail, as most expats do;-(

In general, Good life!

Switzerland is also a fairly chunky expat location with the large Swiss Pharma companies and the 2 big Swiss banks.

Katanga : got that one down too.

Brussels looks like an interesting one with the EU presence.

Chigger, Correct me if I'm wrong, but my impression is that places in North America (with the probably exception of New York and a couple of other places) tend to get migrants and not people who's just in town for two or three years on an assignment.
