Things That You Really Notice

I won't mention names because I like their establishments BUT there is a chain of places here to buy take away food and the quality is good and not so cheap.

One downer though that just bugs me senseless are the loud employees - they laugh and howl and screech and play with each other like it's a party. They are all non local staff and are friendly and helpful but my gawd !

If they are out of something - they stand facing the customer and shout and giggle the order to the back room.

Nails on a blackboard.

Good thing that it's only take out and you only have to endure it until you get your food.

There is a woman in World Wide House, local, who owns a tiny faux jewelry shopt (or junk if you want to call it). She must have 1 million hair clips and earrings and elastic bands.

Anyway, I have gone to her for years to repair broken clasps on things or to loosen tight earring clips etc.

She is fun, and sweet and chipper every single time I go in. She is never still, always working.

I'd love to have her featured in the SCMP in the section where they focus on one indivudual per week.
