Valid characters in Tags

Any chance you could increase the range of valid characters in Tags? I just started a thread which I wanted to tag with HD-DVD and Blu-ray and it wouldn't accept the "-" characters. By forcing people to write the Tags "incorrectly" you substantially reduce the chance of them being useful for searching (do I search "bluray" or "blu ray"? "HD-DVD" is much more specific than having "HD DVD" as the tag).
