Question School

Hi,

I am planning to move to HK in June/July. The school situation is a bit confusing. I have a 3-1/2 year old who needs to be in KG. There doesn't seem to be too many ESF schools for KG, & even those begin in Jan. There seem to be a lot of Intl schools but almost all seem to require huge funding via Capital Contribution or Debentures in addition to premium fees. Anybody have any practical experiences in sending kids to KG?
Would appreciate inputs.

- Tharani.

All really depends on which neighbourhood you're going to be moving to. Do you have an idea where you'll be living?

Most of the kindergardens in HK are privately run and do not need debentures.

We've got some listed here on

Hi,

THanks for the really useful link. I am not sure where I will be living, yet. My work will be in Causeway Bay. Based on browsing on the web only, I thought maybe Quarry Bay or Happy Valley/Jardine's Lookout will be convenient. Any suggestions on other neighbourhoods? I am budegeting about 10-12K for a 700-800sqft place.

Tharani.

Check out the neighbourhoods on

I think you should be able to find places in Tai Hang, North Point, Happy Valley and Causeway Bay within your budget.
