I did it with Vonage. Had a US phone number that rang in my home in Hong Kong. The adapter on my Vonage box was 110-220 so I just bought a new cord at Wan Chai computer mart (rather than mess with stupid adapters).
Worked pretty good, though for outgoing calls it was a bit trickier. Needed a few seconds to make the connection (i.e. the first few seconds of the call were choppy). Could have been (probably) i-cable's fault.
