Thumbs down DVR in HK yet???

Guys, one quick question, is there TIVO or similar DVR services available in HK yet? Also - for what's the best TV service to subscribe to for American tV? FYI - moving to HK this Summer and is a TV junkie...

Get yourself a slingbox is the easy answer to your american tv addiction.

And on that note I'm going to watch las vegas before I head out.

Slingbox

Should i buy it in HK? Or bring from US? Also, if i buy slingbox don't i need U.S. cable access here in the U.S. so i can watch in HK? or can slingbox operate internationally (grabbing US tv content from overseas?!?) That would be great!

There are much better ways to watch American TV while overseas (in terms of quality), but it takes some learning. The simplest way would be to get a slingbox, but it will be slow and the quality will be crap.

Do NOT rely on the carriers here to provide you with good up-to-date TV, as they all completely suck and are totally useless.

Slingbox

Hmm so it seems slingbox is the most direct way of connecting, but again i will need the box connected to a cable service stateside ?
