Windsurfing

Hi, would anyone like to join a beginners windsurfing course?. I'm hiring a private instructor at Stanley beach sports centre as all standard lessons are fully booked till April.
5 people max and lasts two days 9am-5pm. It will cost $1600. The cost will be split amongst however many members there are in the group. I dont mind splitting with just one other person as its not too expensive. Must warn you that its going to be on a weekend.
Anyway, let me know if youre interested
Natasha

Not a complete beginner myself but I wonder who you have been talking to?

When there's wind I've been ill and when fine = no wind I talked to Barry at Stanley Beach about renting and that was quite cheap.

For Windsurfing the Most important part is pratice, then better to go for a cheap rent board.
The best price in HK is the Goverment Water Center 20Hk$ a Hr during winter:

Hiring is pretty simple

Only issue you need to take and Pass the beginner windsurfing training to be able to rent:

You can also rent a board in private center Like Lantau, Cheung Shau, Stanley Main Beach, Saikung, Tai Mei Duk Check:

For the Wind Check :http://www.hko.gov.hk/wxinfo/currwx/fnd.htm
For Beginner wind under f2 to f3 ( 4 to 10 knot) is ideal to learn.

Thanks for your help and i know renting is cheap but you have to do beginners course first because you cant rent without it. They are fully booked so im hiring private instructor.

I organise few training last years with the water center.
Need to be Patient as the center are very busy normally , Need to plan 2 months in advance for any training, can go quicker depending of the center.
One of my firend organise a training in less a 3 week using Chong Hing center...

Booking with the center, finding people to join is pretty hard and time consumming: one advice is to have people interresed to confirm there participation by paying and wiring you the money as soon as possible to secure there seat.
This way you will avoid having people changing there mind and cancellling. (In case they pay they need to find a replacement and get the money back by the people replacing)

Good luck and see you on the water
