After much paper chasing etc etc I have finally been granted Residency!

The regulars here know of my trials and tribulations etc and I got a call last night from immigration asking me to come in and see them with my paperwork etc.

So I arrive in wanchai at 9 a.m and do the usual queueing up etc and out of there at 11.30 with my temporary I.D and a letter comfirming I can pick up my I.D card in two weeks time.

So off to the travel agents tomorrow to see if I can delay my sunday flight back to London till the I.D is ready to be collected.

Massive relief at long long last.

Thanks Chigger, Was missing one piece of paperwork so they gave me Right to land, Which I'm more than happy with as all I wanted anyway was no restriction on length of stay and also be able to legally work.

Long time no see Jimbo! Not visited this site for ages and the first thing I see is you! Great to hear you finally have ROL as I know how hard and time consuming the process is. Did both my sisters ID cards with one taking nearly a year to complete as she was in and out of HK.

So you here for good now? Think I lost your MSN somewhere.....PM me yours again.
