Law Firm Recommendation Hi all, My niece is starting a small business. Can someone recommend a law firm (preferably with expertise in the financial industry) that respects small clients? Thanks.

What sort of work do you need done? We've used Susan Liang ( www.speedysue.com ) for a HR and a couple of other issues -- creating contracts etc.

Thanks KnowItAll. Niece is looking for a lawyer who can help her launch her small financial services company. She needs a lawyer who can convert the contracts from their current US version to HK version in order to conform to Hong Kong law. In the beginning, she may also need ongoing advice on how to effectively run day to day operations i.e. preventing fraudulate activities, securing collaterals, claiming first position on the collaterals etc. She hired DLA's Sally Wong before but was very disappointed with SW's mediocre follow up abilities and inferior client service, despite SW's unreasonably high rate. It'd be great if you or someone can recommend a law that can satisfy the above requirements AND take small clients seriously. Many thanks.

Sue is good, she's a friend, or try Weir & Associates.

Unfortunately -- given that you've said that your friend has had problems with one of the solicitors, I suspect the others will stay away from recommending -- closely knit bunch these folks.
