Horse Riding Tours

Hi there,

I have a cousin who may be visiting with his daughter and she is interested to know if there are any horse riding tours in Hong Kong?

So far, I've seen some threads which mentioned lessons through HKJC... and this link http://www.shenzhenparty.com/sports/ for a few hours of riding...

Thank you!

do you want a "tour" of hk on horseback??? if so, there's nothing like that.

or are you looking for a stable where you can go for an hour horseback riding?

do you live in hk? if not, then you would not know the traffic conditions here. i would never subject a poor animal to the task of trying to navigate it's way around HK. although there are huge amounts of country park, horseback riding is not a huge pastime in HK and riding is restricted to a few stables and the race track.

sorry. i think that your friend is out of luck!

Yes, I do live here and I do know what the traffic conditions are like. I didn't expect there to be a tour around mid-levels! I thought it may have been a possibility within the country parks and that's why I'm enquiring.

Haven't heard of anything like that on HK-Island side. Used to ride in Pokfulam kennels when I was a kid, but riding was only within the school, not outside. Have you tried contacting the Tuen Mun Horse Riding School?

Don't know if they have anything, but might be worth a call.

If you're looking for general outdoors activity here's a decent website:

You could rent a bike, kayak or something else like that w/ your cousin + daughter if they are interested.

I guess there's no 'tone of voice' on an email so it was hard to interpret! I suppose that's when the smileys come in handy!
