What are your requirements first thing first ?

Colour? Price? Attractiveness?

im not sure if fortress or broadway stock ndsl anymore. they sell the games though. ive noticed that some colours have been sold out from these retailers before. not sure if theyre going to get new stock.

if you live in kowloon go to mong kok. in the centre which is known for selling mobile phones (sin dat) theres a tiny shop run by an old lady that is known for having the best deals on ndsl.

if you live in hk island go to 188 shopping centre in wan chai. go in the afternoon and pick a shop which has many customers along their bench which would tell you theyre quite popular.

confirm that youre getting protective film for both screens, hard plastic case, transformer, 1gb micro sd, r4 and games. prices range from $1,4xx to $1,5xx for the "water goods" package depending on the colour.

people get r4 now because its easy to use.

Hi! Thanks. I'm from the Philippines. A relative of my friend will go to hong kong this weekend and I am planning to ask her buy for me a NDSL package. However, she's not familiar with it so I have to do research for her so that she wouldn't have a hard time buying one for me. I am thinking of buying an ice blue or coral pink NDSL. However, my priority is still the price. But I do not want to buy something cheap but not geniune therefore I am thinking of buying the package from Broadway or Fortress. However, I do not know if they sell it anymore. Can you recommended what stores I could trust on giving me the best deal? Thank you very much!!!

JJoy,

Rest assured that Hongkong would have the cheapest electronics for Asia unless you compare then with the water goods in China mainland....

WaterGoods means : No warranty Export set....now u know...

I bought a Ice Blue and a Coral Pink for myself and my gf in Taiwan....

basically as mentioned prices are around $1250-$1550 still as said depends very much on your choice of colour and must sets comes with R4, 1 GB or 2 GB protective flims, casing depends... on how u negoitate....

Good luck

water goods stand for parallel imports. you dont get warranty from the official distributor but you can get warranty from the shop you purchase from. they would be equipped with spare parts and have a technician to fix problems.

if choose to purchase the parts separately you can:

ndsl pink (water goods) $1,0xx
usb cable for charging $15
r4 $175
1gb micro sd $80

hello! I am from Singapore and will be heading to HK next week. I would like to enquire about the different type of DS consoles there; "sui fo" & "hon fo". For both types, will I able to use them in SGP? i.e play with other players using the internet? Because while I was in japan, I understand that, the frequency for the jap set is different and I wouldnt be able to play in SGP. So i would like to know if I would be able to use the HK version here.

Also, from the above threads, I understand that the HK version has nintendo warranty for a year. Would I be able to use the warranty in SGP as well? Thank you very very very much. ; )

If you want a Nintendo warranty you will need to buy a hong for model. That means unmodded. For that you can buy from Fortress, Broadway etc.
