Hi,

My hubby and I are looking to get into a fitness program here in Hong Kong. We are from Sydney, where we were going to an outdoor personal trainer - we used to share the same trainer for an hour in a 'buddy session' but paid per person for the hour.

We are looking for a similar set up in HK, but we don't think we'll be able to train outdoors year round in HK, so we are willing to join a gym that has personal training. We went to Pure as a guest on the weekend and thought that was great, however when we came down to the personal training discussion, we were told we couldn't share a personal trainer, we had to hire one each for the hour.

Does anyone know if any of the other gyms let you share the personal trainer (we don't mind paying per person, but we like to have the same trainer & work out together at the same time) or if there are some private personal training studios?

Can't you use the gym at Bel-Air? You can then get a PT to come to you.

I'm not living at Bel-Air - I can't use the gym there if I'm not a resident can I? Do they allow paid visits?

Hey there,

I actually train with a gym called JAB down in Central which is a mixed martial arts gym plus personal training. They have classes at lunch time and evenings (circuit training style and really good but hard) and you get your first one free. Plus you can do anything from training 1 on 1 to 5 on 1 and they tailor make the program for you. They're also heaps cheaper than Pure trainers.......have a look at www.jabmma.com. You should also check out www.gaiatherapy.com.hk they have a private training studio as well as providing professional therapy.

I also train with richclow- dont know if he does this but can certainly recommend him if he does.
