What food do you miss from back home?

Home alone with a cold today and curious what foods people miss or find hard to come by while in Hong Kong or mainland China. Please type in country and a short description.

Sweden

Kalles Kaviar: Caviar sandwich spread that comes in a tube. A real signature thing. It's almost like swedes who don't even like it say that they miss it when abroad.

Fil: A dairy product that I am used to eat *every* morning with cereal. It's like a tiny bit sour yoghurt and either plain or some mild berry flavour. Consistency wise it's thicker than drinking youghurt, pours a bit slower. I REALLY miss it.

Cheese: I'm used to buy a 300-500 gram block and use a cheese slicer to make my own slices for sandwiches. The cheeses I like are a bit softer than parmesan and a little bit milder. You can get almost the same thing in he IFC shop but it is quite expensive.

@nikasp
Cheese? I can totally agree! I miss old gouda.
I buy some here, but it is expensive. So I always have to plan how much I eat per day, otherwise I eat a whole block within one day ( I did it when I went back to Germany last week XD)

Thats the thing though with HK anything dairy is always going to be expensive as everything has to be imported in.

I miss a good old roast dinner! I can't wait to have one when I go back next week.

We have standing orders with a couple of GeoExpats from Spain. Bring us half a block or more of Manchego Semi Curada.

One of the few benefits of running this site.

Ooh, I haven't had a good bit of smelly Manchego since I was in Spain last year...

To be honest, I'd say the main thing I miss is decent ready meals. I'm not much of a cook, and I have... issues... eating in local places, so being able to chuck something in the microwave for a few minutes and have a vaguely 'real' meal would be nice.

It's not from home (I consider here home), but I miss mexican food. I've got a cold too (seems to be going around at the moment, eh?) and some consom? de pollo would be awesome at the moment.
