Reliable contractor for bathroom renovation

I just bought an apartment and want to renovate the bathroom (remove tiles, water closet, sink, bathtub). Would anyone:

1. Know a reliable and reasonable contractor for a small job (only 50 sq ft of space I think for the bathroom)

2. How long that will take?

Thanks!

from my bad experience i can suggest :

1. get written estimate for all specific work to be done. (for instance i found NO backer board behind some tiles and improperly tied off wires)
2. watch the process and make sure all work is done properly. NO shortcuts.
3. decide in advance in payment terms, amount of deposit and balance, and times these are paid.
4. inquire if any work will be subcontracted out to other people. (workers that do not represent company and do not care about regulations).
5. contact your building management on requirement for renovations and make certain the contractor abides and understands these regulations.

Thanks for the advice. I can't believe HK is such a pain with anything related to service.

I never even planned a renovation, but found out that the bathroom water closet was really gross. My bad not to see it sooner !

On another board these people have got good reviews: http://www.wpe-engineering.com
They're run by a gwailo but apparently not particularly expensive, and good quality work (German standard engineering!)

I don't think so - if you look through their pictures you see quite small flat renovations as well as big stuff. Contact the owner (Wolfgang) at the numbers on the webpage to discuss.

Thanks. I already talked to Wolfgang, and will arrange for a quotation. Would anyone know a ballpark for a complete renovation of a ~60-80 sq. ft bathroom? (change tiles, water closet, sink, tub)
