hi guys, does any of you already use softwares or websites that allow us to view cable tv thru the internet? any recommendations and pros and cons versus regular cable tv? thanks.

What exactly are you trying to achieve? Are you wanting to be able to watch TV shows you can't watch on HK cable channels? If so, then the easiest, cheapest solution would be to use bittorrent to download shows.

If you are trying to broadcast your cable across the internet, there is a product called Slingbox you should check out. You have to pay for the hardware at least, not sure if there's a service fee as well.

thanks, NickN. i actually just want to view plain cable tv. the reason why is because i might be moving to different apartment soon (albeit i just moved in to one lately - nomadic life) and i just want to have internet connection for now.
