Charo is on a distinguished road
Talking information of studies and visa work-study

Hi!,I am from México, I`m Physician and I´m work for
government institution as a Physician. I have 8 years
of experience.
Also I lived in Utah USA for 4 years and at
university it studies english as a second lang. so ..
i have ESL certificate.
And I was thinking move to HK, since I would like
too much to study some course or diplomate (or
something like that) in alternative medicine,
traditional chinese medicine, acupuncture, etc... or cantonese or mandarin(it will be wonderful for me to teach english or spanish to ppl (better if are children) but
I´ll need to work since I believe not that my budget
will be enough for a whole year(maybe for 4-6 months..
but a whole year..no).
My questions are: they will help me my degrees to
find-get a job related of my area?? (e.g. medical
assistant (in USA i had the chance of to study med. assis. in 6 months, thru my degree, it will be possible in HK?)or some like that). if no.. doesn´t matter..
can I could work as a witress, hostess, or
also english teaching, spanish teach. am
native spanish speaker.
I know that is difficult to get a work visa, but..
is very difficult or dangerous to work without visa
work?? for example.. we all know that USA´s
inmigration law are very strict but the fact is that
mostly foreigners that inmigrate to USA are unlawful,
for example in my case.. all the time when I was
studying , I worked part time,... so it´s HK like USA
in this fact??
If i´ve found a job, it`s too difficult to get a
visa work?
My second query: can U give me some information
about courses of acupuncture, traditional...
etc...(mainly cost), cantonese or mandarin as a second language
also my boyfriend wants move to Hk with me, he have the same certificate ESL that mine
but don´t have a degree cause still not finished your
career(he is Chilean so.. also native spanish speaker)
can he then try to find a job??

i hope that U can help me cause i really wish to know HK.. i think that is a wonderful place mixing best
of oriental and occidental culture and i really want
to stay there even a few months
I really apreciate any advice

thank U in advance your friend from Mexico Charo

very very sorry for so many questions but i need it..

Hello

It is recommended that you find an employer or university and then apply for a visa. The immigration department does inspect businesses to see if they have any illegally working staff so this is not recommended as the company and the individual will be in trouble.

To be sponsored you need to be offered a decent salary (one that is above the average) as well as be qualified and that it is a full time job.

For job search I would recommend looking on the net for some of the large database sites like jobsdb.com for example.
