i want to visit a specialist who require a referral letter from a meical practitioner.
please let me know how to go about about it.

Would depend on the doctor. Any ethical doctor would not write a recommendation letter just because you self diagnosed the problem -- he would need to conduct the examination himself.

And take a situation where you managed to get a recommendation letter, and then went on to report him to the medical board saying "he did not charge me for the letter.. just gave it to me within 20 seconds" -- the doctor could get into serious trouble with the board and insurance companies.

That .. or some creative and probably criminal use of photoshop..

Thanks a lot... actually i just came back from my country and the doctor asked to see a specialist here... ( but i dont have a letter from him). thats why i raised the query.
so it seems that only good option is to get the recommendation letter from doctor.
