Phone SIM cloning/combining

Anyone have any experience with those "12-in-1 super SIM" SIM card cloning devices that consist of a USB SIM-card reader, a blank SIM and the software?
Apparently they allow you to copy up to 12 SIM cards into a PC, then write back all of those cards' information back into the blank SIM card that comes with the package. Handy for people who travel and have different providers' SIM cards as they don't need to physically change the SIM each time.

But I read here that the newer SIM cards won't allow being copied and can even be damaged if you try!
Is this true? How can I find out if I have "new" or "old" SIM cards?

I suppose the failsafe way to use up to two different SIM cards in one phone to use those adapters, although you have to cut them first (or else they'll just be too big to fit), but I'm still concerned if such an adapter will fit in my Sony Ericsson Z-550i (after all, we're talking the thickness of two SIMs).

That SIM-cloner surely would be the best solution, but I'm concerned about the issue of possibly damaging my existing SIM cards and/or not being able to read them after all.

I doubt that they would physically damage the card so who's to know? If it stops working just take it back to your phone provider for a replacement.

Cloning-Almost every sim card issued after 2002 is V2 (newer card)

Adapter:
If it stops working just tell your phone provider you lose your sim & get a free replacement

Super Sim, I am using it's good.

Okay go back to your topic,

Yes, the shop reminded me many times that some new card cannot be cloned. They needed to crack the sim's encryption before, but some new SIM card, the encryption method is different, so cannot be cloned.

The meaning of damage is that the software cracker may trigger the protection of SIM card and the card will blocked itself. So you can't use it and need to replace one...

When i bought it (a yr before), i am sure 3G card cannot be cloned.

So before you clone it, you must backup the number, to ur old sim or to your phone. If it fail, go to the network provider shop and tells them don't know why the SIM card cannot be used, they will change one for you w/out a penny.

China Unicom Prepaid card can be cloned
3 2G card without betting service can

Peoples prepaid card cannot
Heard CSL postpaid 2G card cannot, but not sure

Also remember the card changing interface is in the Sim Took Kit (STK) , so after to cloned those cards together, u cannot use STK services, such as horse betting, phone banking, etc......
