British Airways' customer service

I have filed a claim with BA for lost/damaged luggage during my Christmas travels. It's been well over a month and I haven't even received an acknowledgement that my claim has been received. I've also completed a customer service enquiry form on their website, but have not received a response.

How long does it usually take to hear from the airline? Unfortunately, I have lost the file number for my lost luggage, but I did quote it in the claim, which was sent by registered mail.

You have to call them every day until they yield!

I would suggest being extremely stern with them when you call. Advice of your situation, and make sure they go the extra mile for you.c

Misplaced my bags once when i flew from heathrow to manchester, took them 3 fooking days to get my bag back, just a domestic flight.

Good luck to you mate, but yes try screaming a bit at them, 2 months is just not on...

The moral of the story is never, ever check baggage in or out of LHR, and particularly not with BA. And certainly under no circumstances check baggage through LHR.

It is really sad that Heathrow is leading the UK rapidly down the hill to third world status.

Or for excellent customer service try Leeds airport.

Lost baggage clerk: what district do you live in Hull?
Me: [name of district]
clerk: there is no such district
Me: but I live there I can guarantee there is
clerk: well I went to Hull once and I never saw it on a bus, if the bags don't arrive its your fault for giving a false address

Lovely after a long haul flight from HK

BEL has a spectacular aura aboutBEL has a spectacular aura about
They lost our bags last year from LHR to Frankfurt - took 3 days to get the bags back (and lots of calls to them to check the status).

They had that back log from before christmas where the airport shut down for a few days due to the fog - I remember seeing reports that they were a heap of luggage that they hadn't sorted through yet.

That is just redicilous if you haven't got it back by now.. I would be starting to wonder if you will ever see it??
