Good places for Sushi around Soho?

Someone recommended a place called Koi Sushi in Soho...has anybody been there?

I haven't found a good sushi place around soho yet so we are thinking of checking out this Koi place soon since we heard it's good. If anybody has been there or knows of any other good places let me know. thanks.

Well Dozo is the obvious one. It's perfectly OK, although not the best in town. Most of the seats are by the conveyor belt, although there are a few tables. Some of their deals are quite good - e.g. mid-afternoon everything on the belt is one low price, and they have (or at least they did a few weeks ago) an all you can eat deal for weekend lunches.

Wasasabi in Causeway Bay (Times Square) is excellent, but not cheap. Recommend going for lunch as they have decent lunchbox deals.

Koi Sushi is on Stanley Street so not really SoHo but worth walking down the hill to as it is pretty good and the prices are spot on. They do an all you can eat for HKD160 as well as a few other deals.

Dozo, I would not recommend. It is not even close to aunthentic sushi. I heard from my japanese friend that there is a good sushi (converyor belt type) in IFC 1 or 2. Although i have not tried it.

Give Izakaya a try. It's right around LKF/Soho. We found the sushi decent. It's actually a buffet of a large variety of Japanese food but everything is made to order. You order any item on the menu, and they make it for you. Best deal is Sun-Thurs. Much better than Todai which we find to be of very poor quality.

Naozen across Yung Kee on Wellington is one of the best in the area. They have "real" Japanese chefs. BEA credit cards get you 15% off the bill.
