UNY has a good selection of Japanese kitchen knives, ranging in price from $200 or so up to $3000 I think. But if you're just looking for a souvenir with your name scribed on it, I dunno

Wow, great idea! I've had little shopping ideas lately but another Global knife or two is a must. They are EXPENSIVE in Sweden.

Any of these places have ceramic knives? Saw white, ceramic blades for sale in Tokyo but wasnt looking for kitchen equipment at the time. Looked pretty cool though. And supposed to stay sharper longer.

UNY has ceramic knives (be sure to get the ceramic sharpener for it, you can't use normal sharpeners with them) I think UNY is the best department store for kitchen ware. Usually a bit cheaper than Sogo too

The Panhandler and Pantry Magic both have Japanese ceramic blades. Kyocera or some such.
