Anyone want to go hiking?

Hello,

I have a small booklet from the tourist board with several short to medium and maybe one long hike described in it. Average length around 5 KM's. They are located in various areas around Hong Kong, and on a few of the islands.

Would anyone like to join me on one of these hikes? I will look on the internet and see if this booklet is posted online so you can have some idea of the choices.

Thanks

If you fancy serious hiking then the AFCD site describes the main trails, and HK Outdoors has some good stuff.

But 5km is less than an hour! That's hardly a hike...

Yes, 5Km is not much, but I have found a selection of longer trails at the website you mentioned. Also, it might be up to 3 hours round trip getting to the location.

I was thinking of a boat ride to an island, and then hiking.

Fun trails

Hi!

I've hiked from Parkview all the way to Quarry Bay a couple years ago... It's a pretty challenging trail. It was like a massive staircase master, but we managed to find this little waterfall on one of our detours and it was the perfect swimming spot!

If u want to hike on the islands, try discovery bay to mui wo.

My friend is organizing a hike on 17th Feb from Tsuen Wan to Tai Po, it is relatively an easy one, it takes around three hours time. Anyone interested pls PM me.

I might be up for something. Depends on when and where. I tried Dragon's Back last week. Part 8 of 8 on the Hong Kong trail. Pretty nice!
