I'm moving from Sweden to Hong Kong this fall to work as au-pair and I´m now starting to freak out...What am I going to do alone at a place at the opposite side of the world? So, my questions is: How is Hong Kong to live in as a newcomer? And WHERE do you go to meet new people if you don't meet them at your job?

I believe there's 6 or 7 million inhabitants in HK, so I doubt you'll be alone! I'm moving from UK to HK around September. I've been there four times previously and always found plenty to do in an evening. Unfortunately I can't always remember where I went, but there are plenty of bars and clubs, and the horse racing in particular at Happy Valley has a great social atmosphere.
