i have a travel adapter that i use in china, i can use the same one for australia right? it's a 3 prong with a straight prong and 2 diagonal prongs. going to be bringing my hong kong battery chargers and a shaver.

As for China and Australia - yes, the adapter you describe should work fine in Oz, but as the specific page on that site will tell you, there are actually three or four different sockets used in various parts of China, so it's not so simple.
