| | | Best Egg Tart in HK? Egg tart fanatics unite! Where do you think is the BEST egg tart in HK? Also, do you prefer the "hard" crust type or the "puffy" crust type? All comments wellcome!
I loooooove these things and rarely go a week without them. Personally, I'm a hard-crust lover. A couple of my favorite places:
1/ Wet market in Causeway Bay (Bowrington Rd) - awesome egg tarts in a small shop near the cross w/ Hennesy Rd. Go around 3PM when they're hot.
2/ Leighton Road (around number 118, opposite Church) - small baker shop in middle of complex. Awesome and always sold out by ~4:30PM
Where's your favorite place?

| | | I like the flaky crust type. My fav 2 places, the bakery at Central near the foot bridge, near Cafe de Coral and the other one is at Shun Tak Building, the restaurant that serves Macanese food. I lovveee egg tarts too. But have to watch myself or I'll turn into an egg tart! | |

| | | I like them hot........flaky........and runny.........mmmmmmm. The extremely fragile ones that you have to slide straight into your mouth from the paper case.

| | | I know this is really sad, but my wife and I are lifetime lovers of egg-tarts, and we both prefer KFC's. | |

And no, Welsh Lamb, I never want to know how much lard and calories in each tart. In this particular case ignorance is bliss... | |
