Problems w/Google

Whenever I try to access Google I keep getting the homepage of something called Tomcat Apache!??!

Does this mean my computer has a virus or spyware??

Thanks for any advice.

Just something broken at your ISP, give them a call.

PCCW for instance have a server to force users to change their password, they can redirect you to that until you have changed. Sometimes things can go wrong and you get directed by mistake, or their server breaks.

Could also be a spyware application that was meant to redirect you from google to another site.. and that site got deleted, leaving you with a Tomcat / Apache default page.

I'd also download Search and Destroy and run a spyware span.

MrMoo : I've *never* been redirected to change a password. Are you sure its not some spyware / phishing software?

I've been having the same problem. But what I've found is, if you search for Google itself, you can the click on and use google.co.uk. For some reason it only affects google.com.

Yup and make sure you have the latest updates too and ensure you have version 1.4 and not 1.3.

Twice, once after some scare in the news, and recently after a combination of bad weather and electric works affecting the local switch box.

It does look really suspect but I called them up both times and confirmed it was real. The last time it was rather broken though, the screen showed "Password successfully changed, please change your password." with no prompts or anything.

It's working fine for me on Netvigator. Which ISP are you using?
