But i heard there's a kinda chemical spray that i can apply on my new carpet so as to protect it from absorbing whatever spills on it immediately and makes the maintanence a lot easier...

Anyone? where can i get that thing from?

It's called scotchgard. A lot of new carpets already have scotchgard protection, as well as couches and stuff. I don't know if you can get it here though.
