My 18-month Netvigator/Now TV commitment finally drew to an end, so I called Now TV to check that there wouldn't be a sudden rate hike. Apparently, i'll be charged the same $224/month but I need to sign up for another 18 month commitment to keep my current premium channels.

I don't even watch much TV, so I asked how much I'd be charged just for Netvigator Broadband and was told $198...with an 18 month commitment! Unfortunately there are lengthy commitment obligations that go with most services in HK, but it's a bit much to be forced into one after another by the same provider.
