We're starting a new theatre production and looking for people to get involved! If you were around last year you might remember "Fairytale Soup" which started w/ a post on Geoexpat and ended up a sold-out 3-day production at the Fringe Club. So, now we're onto the next thing!

We're looking for 2 people specifically right now (but more later, so stay tuned). Here's the two we need now:

1/ Sponsorship Director - basically someone to help us round up
some dosh since this is grounds-up production.
If you've done sponsorship before, or you're just a
gung-ho kinda person this might be for you! It's not
difficult...just takes time & a friendly, persistent attitude.

2/ Marketing & Publicity Director - someone for publicity,
press releases, interviews...who knows! This is our face
to the outside. Let me know if it's you!

The new play will be "The Complete Works of William Shakespeare, Abridged" which is one of the funniest scripts I've seen in a long time. Here's some details on it:

We're performing in June'07. They'll be MORE positions opening up after Chinese New Year, so I'll stay in touch on this thread. It's early days yet! This is going to be a helluva good time (& a great group of people to boot), so if you've ever had that secret desire to be involved in Theatre, now's your chance!

Wow, that's sounds interesting!
I've been involved in theatre for 9 years basically acting, but I've been working as stage manager as well. I would love to get involved, how can I find out more? Should I drop u my cv or something?

Anyone else feel free to PM me....we still need those 2 positions filled. This will be a casual, fun production (community theatre stuff, so don't worry if you're not a pro!). I'll update when we're looking for the next positions.

HI everyone...quick update for you as I'm just back from 2-week vacation. Our little team is coming together and we're now looking for creative types to join us.

Graphic Designer - anyone want to design our poster?
Backstage/Props/etc - drop me a line
Auditions will come later...I'll let you guys know when we do it.

Current status:
Theatre has been booked. Rights are under application. We've also got a great director!

OK, all...quick update on our Theatre Production.
Cast is in place, rehearsals undergoing and we're working on press & media. Things are moving along well!Also, I'm happy to say we have quite a few Geoexpater's helping behind the scenes this time...

We still need HELP on following (contact me if you can help):

1/ CLOTHING - do you have baggy pants or hoodies which you can donate to the piece? Looking for these items desperately...

2/ BOXES - we need ~20-25 cardboard boxes for the set. Just moved and have them for us?

3/ LAYOUT DESIGNER - want to design our house programme and get the credit for it? Great to put on your resume!

Of course, anyone that helps or donates gets mention in our House Programme....
