Thumbs up Adopting dogs in Hong Kong - Dachshunds

Just to let those dog lovers among you that there is a Dachshund Society in Hong Kong: the Asian & Hong Kong Dachshund Society. We also have a very comprehensive website: http://www.lapcheung.org with everything you need to know about dachshunds, dachshund e-cards, a HK & worldwide dachshund and dog directory, an illustrated dachshund guide and more dachshund fun. Furthermore we organise events for dachshund owners and also owners of other dog breeds. AHKDS also has regularly rescued dachshunds available for adoption. Please tell all your friends!

We have an adorable long-haired dachshund we were planning on leaving behind when we move to HK in a few months. He's not very well trained and we just weren't sure about all of the complications. However after reading your post I may have to reconsider. What all is involved with bringing the dog? Where would he stay when we travel? How would he make the trip over?

A dachshund society, huh?

Exclamation Moving your Dachsie to HK

From what I have heard, it is not that difficult to come to HK with your dachsie. In fact, coming from certain countries, you are not required any quarantine. Please take a look at:

http://www.afcd.gov.hk/quarantine/lsk/import/index.htm

There are also companies in HK to help you with the whole proxess from the paperwork to the arrival.

Cheers,
Esta
