Vit. B6 for dogs

Can anyone please tell me where can I get Vit. B6 for my dog? I live in Macau so one that will ship will be preferable but if not, I'm willing to go and buy it in HK. Checked the internet but I couldn't find one that ships here. Many thanks.

I was advised to give it to my hyperactive Dalmatian who might have low seretonin level in his brain. B6 apparently would have a calming effect. Appreciate your help.

Hi PCman, Thanks for the help. Checked the website but there was no indication if it was meant for dogs? Will try and send them email to ask. If not, then i will just keep on searching for the alternatives. Thanks again, really appreciate it.

Hi,
I think it is a human product but couldn't find a dog-specific product.
This was one of the few B6 only products I could find even for humans.
You sure that dog-specific B6 is available?

dog specific vitamins? i don't think they exist. the vitamin B6 that you have been advised to give your dog would be the same vitamin B6 sold for humans. just ensure you know what dose to use. as with all B-group vitamins, excess B6 will be eliminated in the urine, so there is not a huge chance of overdosing, unless your dog has bad kidneys, or you give a high dose for a long time. it would not hurt to give the B6 as part of a "multivitamin" that contains the B6, just ensure you don't have to exceed the recommended dosage of any other vitamins in the supplement to achieve the B6 dosage you want (especially the dosages of the fat soluble vitamins, A, D, E and K, to name a few).

You're all right! I'm such a duffus! There's no B6 specifically for dogs! I appreciate your input. Just having a real tough time with my dog right now I'm willing to try anything except send him back to the shelter. Thank y'all.

Wondering how much exercise your Dalmatian gets? They are very active dogs and require heaps of exercise. That might be part of the problem?
