Hello All,

I am going to Bali for a vacation next month and am interested in buying some dark teakwood furniture for the house and having it shipped to the US.Has anyone out there done this before? If someone can recommend some good furniture stores and their experience with having furniture shipped internationally,I'll appreciate it.I have come across a lot of furniture places online in Bali but would prefer first hand info from someone out there.Thanks

you might try one of the singapore expat forums as i know it is very common for expats there to do this. don't hear about it here so much.

US? Not sure if there are some issues related to humidity. You might want to research that... I've heard that furniture bought in Asia (mostly coastal / high humidity areas) does not do well in the US... depending on where you are.
