Flying down under

Which airline (at economy level) is recommended for flying down under?

nicolejoy is on a distinguished road
I've flown Qantas, Cathay and Virgin Atlantic, and I they're all about the same really, each of them at times are the "cheapest" option - and their quality is comparable... I don't know how many other airlines fly direct to Sydney, but there are a bunch of other ones that fly via Singapore or Bangkok etc... (too much hassle, in my opinion!!)

There is one CX flight which is a pain in the neck .. involves a stop over at either Melb or Sydney .. I remember being stuck at one of the airports for a couple of hours.

Just make sure you don't get on that flight .. specially if you are flying with kids.

Virgin Atlantic requires you to fly to Sydney then change (to Virgin Blue presumably) for Brissie.
