| | | How long for a job application process in MNC? I am just curious that some response within 1 day and some took weeks.
I am just try to know and justify which jobs application will consider gone because I am not using the fishing net tactics that apply for whatever jobs around. So I need to know which application should be over already and prepare for the next one.
Back in Singapore we consider application without news over 2 weeks will be gone.
appreciate experiences and sharing from you guys.

| | | I never consider it over until I get a NO.
I just keep on calling them (not every day but once a week or so) to get news until I get an answer.

| | | links - It really depends on the industry / size/ level of position etc etc; coupled with their desperations and situation with other candidates. The process is not always structured - so please have patience, be professional about it, keep your hopes but be realistic as well and continue the hunt. | |

| | | Can drag on to be honest, Could be a multitude of different reasons for the delay in getting back to you.
1. The HR guy looking after the role could be sick/on holiday
2. Waiting for more applicants to apply before they decide who to interview
3. Job Role could be on hold pending a restructure
Personally if I haven't heard back from them after a month after sending in an application or attending an interview then I see it as dead and put it on the back burner.

| | | one more question to ask:
I was doing fine with an interview, and has attended 2nd interview. However, the manager told me they decided to meet 2 more candidate before they make decision and they posted another job advertisement on the position i interviewed right after my second interview.
does it mean they are not satisfied with me?
I have contacted the HR but he said my status is fine just that they have not make any decision as they want to meet a few more candidates.
I was having other offer on hand now but this job is my priority so its quite headache to handle current situation.I cant drag on other offer too long but i was unsure about the real situation with the prioritized job...
hope you guys can give me some advices.

| | | Okie just my 2 cents worth:
1) Processing officer is lazy and had a bad week with his spouse/ gf or whatsoever
2) Too many decision markers in the company, documents are passed in a circle and never signed or endorsed.
3) They just like making you wait. ( to check how urgent or you really are keen)
4) HR people are sometimes not up to the par. ( I have experience HR Manager being on probation even after 5 months )
In any case. Dont forget to pray....
Good Luck! | |
