Good luck rani, you've got to hurry though. They are already stocking up on their new collection.

And coolgirl, get that dress... it's only 189 HKD. Some T-shirts cost more. I wonder, how you can stay so calm...

a bit of emanzipation for the male fellows in here: it's several weeks ago and not really linked to a seasonal sale, but I got a really nice half-coat from S.T.Dupont in black cashmere/wool blend and with a grey-blue satin lining on the inside from Dickson's warehouse in the basement of the New World Centre in TST for HKD 1,600 reduced from HKD 3,800.

originally i wanted to have it with bordeaux-red lining to give it a more interesting touch when wearing it opened, but the more subtle grey-blue lining was still OK. it's really perfect for these cold days and I can combine it easily with a suit for work, as well as with a very casual outfit. i'm a fan of half-coats for many years already, because they make me look younger (I need it as I am getting close to a critical age ) and are very versatile and yet stylish - yes, it's not only you girls who can talk about fashion and sales :P

this cny. exactly on the 17th of feb. thanks for the tips...but as i remember, most shops are close during cny right? well i'm not sure in hong kong. but in taipei last year, everything's down but the night market.

would probably go to tung chung as well, yung place na puro outlet..hehe talagang cheapskate...haha

Hi Connecta,

Its good you found a nice half coat. Ako kasi, I only buy at G2000 and GIordano for my office clothes. The rest, I bought pa from SM back in Manila.

Yup 100% Pinoy here.

I honestly haven't seen any nice and at the same time value-for-the-money clothing for men here kaya I am looking forward to my vacation in Manila just to buy my office clothes.

Girls are lucky though.

Hi, yup Pinoy and proud here.

Can you expound on the meaning of "critical"? The nick just crossed my mind out of nowhere. Baka pangit pala meaning nun.

connecta, thanks for the tip. i considered getting a half-coat last year but the ones i saw were too expensive. i have a full-length wool coat which i left in storage back home because winters in HK aren't that cold.

Hi beaverman, welcome to our thread

Been so harrassed at work yesterday so wasnt even able to surf the thread, nor book my holy week plans dunno pag may natira pang ticket

Dicey, dona and I are going around 2-3ish siguro. Kasi I have french class til 12, then Im dropping my luggage pa sa HK Disneyland hotel, tapos we're meeting in Tung Chung. Excited ako!!! Sana makasama kayo. any more takers?

Honey, I agree, paminsan minsan lang ako may nagustuhan sa Tung Chung. One sweater I really liked I found there at 50% off, before I left it in a cab My Seven jeans and denim mini I also got from there. I actually found out about that in geo. Sayang didnt know na may sale sila nun. I bought 2 pcs at 40% off, pero additional 25% if 5 pcs or above. As in kasing price na lang ng Esprit at regular price. And the quality is really good. Dapat hinatak ko kayo para mas mura, hehe... That was still before Christmas so hopefully there are more good finds

Di ko mabili yung Zara kasi sa totoo lang, saan ko naman susuotin yun Unless I meet a prince charming who's going to invite me to a ball Hay naku, magtaya na lang ako sa lotto!!!

Bought three pcs in M&S (just can't resist!!!) Central has more stocks. Nagreplenish pa sila ng sale stuff. 3 pcs of tops at HKD 350. Good deal

connecta, by the way, thank you for the info about the midland site. Very, very helpful!!! Just what I needed. Though it does not give info on the buildings Im eyeing, it gives really good info on the market. great site!

Rani, nice to hear you like our thread Update us on your shopping finds too!

Connecta and Tiger, what's a half coat ??? Connecta, I can't believe you have so many details, even more than we girls

There's nothing particular bad about it, really. No worries.

Coolgirl + Dona, give me a ring when you're there (it's a Saturday diba). Connecta and I will be there earlier to watch a movie...

Di mo mabili? The glory of your self-discipline makes me wither.

Oh by the way zeroth, all the major stores in HK are open during CNY. Only the small ones (like little boutiques and so on are closed).

But I also think tung chung's the place to go for your sis to bargain hunt.

connecta,

thanks for the tip. i'll tell my other half. he plans to go to M&S kasi washable ang mga coats, saves us dry cleaning fee. Tigerblitz, pls educate us what is half coat?

Wwaaaahhhh...i wanna go tung chung as well, i was alone last time so maybe i went to the wrong bldgs, i remember there was a nike outlet na napuntahan ko. I can only be out without the little one for maximum 3 hours, so i don't think there is enough time for me.

Coolgirl, get it! and visualize a prince charming will invite you.
