| somebody explain OLD id I still have my old ID. I dont know what all the stuff on it actualy means. There is my name at the top date of birth (duh  ) but then AMZY and H1 underneath (ANYBODY HAVE A CLUE?) then date of issue(not a problem) and inthe right corner a 7 digit code starting with Z and thena (2) . If somebody can give me an explanation please help me out.  |

| AMZY stands for personal information. A is for the ROA, M is for the sex of the holder, and Z is for the place of birth (Hong Kong in this case). The 7 character code is your id number, it begins with one letter, and has six number. The bracket code is the check digit for prcessing. |
