Toy and Games Exhibition
Saw a banner for a Toys and Games Exhibition at the HKCEC in Wanchai. Has anyone been there or does anyone have any information?

Discobay : it is the largest trade related toy show of its kind in the world.

Mostly manufacturers pitching their wares to buyers from overseas, infact many of them don't want to talk to you if you identify yourself as a Hong Kong company.

Like all trade shows the best stuff is shown in private to large buyers.

discobay : I think you can walk up with a business card and register. Normally, we pre-register for the show on their website and the passes are sent to us.

The last day is definately open to the public .. and is a madhouse, as many people wander around buying up stuff that the exhibitors don't want to take back with them.

I was there at the opening and was swamped by what looked like mainland tour groups, who were catalog and freebie collecting.
The TDC is doing their bit by handing out free trips on the Ngong Ping 360 and stays at Disneyland hotels[for overseas visitors only] .
There are also this lot from the Spring Fair giving out free passes on the Airport Express.
And free coffee passes to entice you to go to the upper floors.
And finally Caucasian cheerleaders from local schools, The Police Band to uplift you and a Jazz trio to chill out too.

It is a wonder that any business gets down at all.

Although trade, you can get in with a business card. Hong Kong companies are welcome.

Went yesterday. If you've never been there is a lot to see. If you've been before then it is mostly the same as last year.
