| Possibilty to get investment visa for runing a restautrant? I am having a plan to open a small restaurant here, the start up capital is around hk$300k with one partner which is a HK citizen. I will go through a professional training in the cooking and will hire 2-3 HK workers as first phase. The business plan of this venture will be looking into building the business into a franchise in 5 years time and open 2-3 branches if the business achieve target profit in 2 years time. I am worried that this kind of small start up business will not get me a investment visa so that I couldnt implement and control my business plan smoothly... Can anyone here advice whether this kind of business if possible to get a investment visa in HK? |

| What I did with my company was just start it. With the revenues I built in 6 months I got it without a single employee I got the visa! I did inject some hefty assets in the company. But I warn you, the process with the Immigration is probably more through than if you want venture capital. You are going to be seeing them often be submitting a tonne of documents. References, proof of business, copy of invoices, bank statements. If you have a load of employees and revenues they won't kick you out. I don't know though what is their view of a "soft" business like a restaurant. Last edited by hk.com; 10-01-2007 at 11:12 PM. |
