I've been wondering for a while what that empty Repulse Bay appartment block was about, especially since reading on this forum that some people were saying it was a nuclear facility disguised as an appartment block, etc, anyway, I was thinking up some crazy theories of my own until I stumbled across this great article in the ASIA SENTINEL : http://www.asiasentinel.com/index.ph...=291&Itemid=32

the stories and rumour i heard includes some monetary dispute with the original architect (the boc/hsbc building designer) and hence unsafe structure. etc.etc...

it doesn't make sense for them to leave that standing for conversion to hotel if they can sell it as apartment right!

Typical Chinachem though, how many apartment blocks do they have in the territory now that have few or no residents? Certainly a company with more money than sense!
