Sat Nav Does anyone know if In-Car Sat Nav such as Tom Tom is available in Hong Kong? I've seen the add-on for Pocket PC but I'm looking for the device that can give you directions, tell you when you should turn, shout when you approach a speed camera (known as a safety camera in the UK!!!) etc. Cheers

Not seen anything here that alerts you for speed camera locations. The best recommendation I can come up with is this .. http://www.mapasia.com/carnavigation/indexen.html

Are GPS units illegal on the mainland? I know--kind of way off topic, but I remember a few years back reading some guidance from the State Department advising to leave your GPS units at home because (technically) there is a ban on unlicensed satellite receiver units of any kind. Not sure if anyone has a definite answer (though I'm sure many have probably taken them into China without a fuss).

I cant see why Map King would release maps of Chinese cities if GPS was illegal there.
