Hi,
I am touring HK for 5 days starting Feb 1st along with 3 other friends. We are all in the early twenties going to KH mainly to party and shop. Last year went to Bangkok, Malaysia, Singapore and had a good time. Looking to repeat it again
Can you guys kindly let me know where i can shop the following at the cheapest prices (best deals)?

1-> Mobile Phones and Mobile Phone accessories.
2-> Computer Hardware. Not looking to buy anything big, but stuff like HDD etc
3-> Movie DVDs. Got lots of DVDs in thailand which were not the genuine thing but very cheap. looking for something like that.

Also looking for street shopping stuff like dresses, small gifts, T-shirts and stuff, which are the best places for street shopping?

Any info help will be greatly appreciated

Computer stuff - you can try Wanchai Computer something or other - I forget the exact name of it... there are signs there from Wanchai MTR station though, it's pretty easy to find. Prices are great, but you should look around at all the places on all the levels because there can be a bit of variation, and you can always bargain with them a bit too...

Small gifts etc, try the markets like Ladies Market on Kowloon side - but don't forget to bargain there too!! If you ask the price and then walk away, they'll call out lower and lower prices as you walk away

Pretty much everything you need can be found in Sham Shui Po and Mong Kok. Head to Golden Shopping Centre outside of Sham Shui Po MTR Station. (Exit is named after it)

Apliu street has many cell phone shops for both new and used which is across Cheung Sha Wan Street from Golden Shopping Centre.

Also head to Mong Kok, they have a shopping centre on Argyle street full of cell phone shops and lots of markets. You can also go down ladies street (Tung Choi Street) and check out market gifts as well as the night market in Yau Ma Tei.

As for fake DVD's it is possible to find in Sham Shui Po, Mong Kok also as well as many other places, but you may want to look in to the punishment of carrying them over international borders before you buy.

I was just wondering, if you get Spy wine Cooler in HK. When i visited thailand, i enjoyed this drink, love to try it again
