Found a good accom price but a little aprehensive as I haven't used the site before

I have never used that one, but as long as it is real-time booking, then it shouldn't be a problem.

I recommend wotif.com and lastminute.com - both are great and have used them many times.

precisionreservations.com also offers top notch prices.

Never heard of asiabest until I saw a banner hanging around the escalator.

Thanks. Love to hear from anyone else that may have used them. I often use the others mentioned, last minute, wotif etc... but this time the price on asia best is the best

Check out www.hotel.de, site is available in many languages.
In the past, they were always cheaper than other sites - also offering a best price guarantee for many hotels.

Why?

1. "All reservations need to be made at least 3 days in advance."
2. The hotels are not booked immediately, your booking is just an enquiry basically
3. The rates are nothing special, even asiarooms.com offers better rates
4. You have to tell them your nationality before you can proceed with a search request... why??

Thanks all for your input.
I was concerned about giving my credit card details before hotel availability was confirmd so I contacted the company directly.
They were extremely prompt and confirmed that my hotel was available. They also sent me a fax booking form as an alternative to their site.
So...
I have now made the booking and have voucher and confirmation within minutes.
They are actually a travel company based in Singapore which I was able to confirm.
Their rates were excellent and believe me, I have searched eveywhere.
I will keep you all informed after we check in. (18 Jan)
Fingers crossed we are not left on the streets of Singapore
