Hi there,

We've been in HK for almost 3 months now and have yet to find a good heavy, dark chocolate blackforest cake. The light, airy local version is fine for everyday cake, but we'd really love to order a good one for Christmas.

Since baking in our oven-less apartment is out of the question, we would love if someone could point us in the direction of a good baker/bakery/cafe. Please.

you could try Cova, they have outlets in afew places such as Festival Walk in Kowloon Tong and there is a small shop around the Princes building (think its princes anyway) in Central.

Failing that there is also a shop called Luculus in East TST KCR station. Very nice cake.

The Mandarin Cake shop has always been one of the better ones on the top end.
