| i do have an ID card but not here in japan where i`m coming from...it`s in the UK...so i want to enter with my passport...well i`ll find a cheap return flight i guess... |

| I've done it a couple of times, using the return-leg ticket of a HK-to-UK (and back) trip, and just having my passport. HK immigration have never checked my ticket, only the passport. I only once got questioned in the UK about using the return stub and not having another ticket back, but I said my girlfriend had another ticket for me in HK as I ordered it online (as I did) and that was fine. Really I don't understand half the immigration fuss on this forum. USA aside, the world's pretty damn open to everyone, especially westerners. |

| Botox: Why would you assume someone who has a brit passport is a westerner? Plenty of Indians with brit passports too... and yes, they do get hassled. Tokyo: You'll be ok ... if they hassle you just given them your ID card number. I've walked through immigration without a problem with a valid visa. |

| thanks guys...i`ll try and get in on a single ticket and my passport...if i have any trouble, i`ll just quote my HKID number. if the worse comes to the worst, i`ll get sent back to tokyo which isn`t such a bad thing since tokyo is cool.. |
