Am living in a small flat (5 floors altogether).

I'm on the 3rd floor and am infested with mice. How the hell do the mice get up to the 3rd floor? As soon as I get rid of one another 1 or 2 comes along and replaces the gotten ridden one.

Have got rid of 1 injured one and 1 dead one. There are 2 currently alive for now. The little pests will gnaw through nearly anything (food items are in safe plastic storage boxes).

Have put mousetraps down to deter them and the floors are clean. But what attracts them to my 3rd floor flat in the first place? How to get of them once and for all? Getting a bit tired of the CSI cleanup jobs now.

Mice can climb the walls so they get pretty much anywhere. They can be a pain to get rid of they can survive most things

The best way to get rid of them is poison. You should be able to pick up mice baits which contain poison from most large supermarkets

I would just shoot 'em with an airsoft gun. Find the hole they're coming through and plug it.

But why would they travel all the way up to the 3rd floor why not the ground or 1st floor?

I've seen em all over co-ops in NYC. They go wherever the food is man. They're probly going into the trash. Find the hole and plug it. I'd seriously shoot them. Faster than poison and more humane IMO. If you want I'll come blast 'em for you..hehe
