US visa for Indian passport holder in HK

Hi,

I am currently residing in HK and hold an Indian passport. I plan to go to Guam along with my husband to take the US CPA examination (as the same is not held anywhere other than US). I still have not applied for a US visitor visa.
How diffitcult is it for an Indian passport holder to get a US visitor visa? Is any kind of extra documentation required? Both of us have our HK ID cards and are both working in HK.

Any prompt response would be highly appreciated since this issue is quite urgent.

If anyone has been through the same experience and was able to apply for and get his / her visa successfully, please do PM your contact details to me so that I can call up and clarify my doubts.

Thanks a ton!

Not difficult at all. Not sure how stringent its become post 9/11, but its a fairly simple process, compared to applying in India.

Well, to be on the safe side, carry a letter from your employer verifying your leave, some bank statements, tax returns etc.

Indian citizens usually receive quite a favourable treatment at the US mission in HK. I think it goes something like this..

Walk in.. Get a multiple entry 10 year visa.. walk out..

Awesome! Sounds very encouraging.

We had factored in other proofs like bank statement, ref. letter etc. but, a copy of the tax return sounds very useful, too!! Will take that along.

Thanks a ton for all the inputs
