Hello I'm pretty new to Hong Kong and this whole forum stuff, but I'm hoping you folks can help.
My mum suffered a stroke recently leaving her physically disabled, (she is getting better) but the hospital is putting pressure on us to find alternative care for her, We both refuse to put her in a home, dad can only do so much as he's getting on a bit himself. I need to hire a home carer with the relevant experience who can start asap, can anyone advise? I'm checking a few agencies out but it seems there may be a 3 month wait to bring someone over. Anyone else got any similar experience of advice? I'd be really grateful.
My mum and dad really need a cantonese speaker, we are based in the New territories (the stix!).

if you call a domestic helper agency, tell them your requirements and say that you only want cantonese speakers with experience caring for elderly invalids. they do exist out there but may cost you a little more...
